Boko Haram leader Abubakar Shekau has appeared in a new video to debunk Nigeria’s government claims that the group has been crushed and flushed out of its Sambisa forest stronghold.
Boko Haram fighters, fleeing an attack on their base last week might have used some of the Chibok schoolgirls kidnapped on April 14, 2014, as human shields to prevent being fired upon by fighter jets during the attack on Sambisa Forest.
Following reliable information about movement of
remnants of suspected Boko Haram terrorists,
troops of 118 Task Force Battalion, 7 Brigade, laid
an ambush for the terrorists today morning.
Troops of 119 Task Force Battalion stationed in
Kangarwa northern Borno State, have successfully
repelled an attack by Boko Haram terrorists
Tuesday evening.

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has increased the
tempo of air strikes in the northeast against the

Niger’s defence minister, Hassoumi Messaoudou,

and called on regional forces to defeat the group in
Nigeria.
According to the Director of Defence Information,
Brig.-Gen. Rabe Abubakar, who reported that
more 700 repentant Boko Haram insurgents in
the North-East have surrendered to the military.
THE dreadful terrorist group, Boko Haram, has
reportedly set up an FM station broadcasting on
96.8 frequency, Voice of America (Hausa service) is
reporting.
The bodies of 42 fishermen who were kidnapped
last week by Boko Haram on the Nigeria-Cameroon
border were recovered in a lake, Cameroon military
reportedly said.
