A
newly married woman has been murdered in a village in Danbatta local
governnment area of Kano state, just few days after she tied the knot
with her hubby.

Just a few days after her wedding a woman has been murdered on
Saturday night by assailants in Sha’iskawa, a village in Danbatta local
government area of Kano state.
The tragic incident occurred just after the victim's husband, an
Abuja-based businessman, had reportedly returned to the federal capital
territory, Abuja where he is based.
According to a report on TheCable News, the victim's attackers were
said to have raped her before stabbing her to death as police have
vowed to arrest those behind the wicked act.
The Police Public Relations Officer of the state police command,
Magaji Majiya, told News Agency of Nigeria that investigation into the
incident had already commenced.
“After we received the report of the incident around 5:30am on Sunday, the crime investigation department swung into action.
“As the police reported to the scene, they found that the late
bride was raped before she was stabbed to death in her matrimonial room.
We have so far launched an investigation into the incident and that
will lead us to the arrest of the assailants,” he said.
Magaji who said that the command had yet to make any arrests, but
that the knife used in killing the woman had been recovered, reminded
members of the public on the need to always be security-conscious.
