Mouth odour is one of the worst things ever.
When you’re in the company of someone with
mouth odour, it can be really bad. And many
people who have bad breath don’t realise they
do. You try to keep away from the odour by leaning
back. But that doesn’t always work.
Then you’re thrust into the awkward position of
trying to tell someone their breath stinks. You’re
unsure how said person will take it. Try my
solution:
“ Always give that person a breath mint and hope to
the gods they get the message. ”
If you’re the person with bad breath and you know
about it, here are four easy ways to get rid of it:
1. Lemons
Lemons like most citrus fruits are acidic. They
prevent the growth of most bacteria. To get rid of
mouth odour, add a teaspoon of lemon to a cup of
water. Add a pinch of salt. Gargle this mixture
before bed daily.

2. Apple cider vinegar
Apple cider vinegar has antiseptic properties. To get
rid of bad breath, mix a tablespoon of apple cider
vinegar with a cup of water and drink every day
after meals. Your bad breath will disappear within a
few weeks.

3. Baking soda
Baking soda is the “baba nla” of DIY hacks
everywhere. You can use it to white your teeth,
remove bad breath and even to bake. For mouth
odour, mix a teaspoon of baking soda in warm
water. Gargle this mixture twice a day for maximum
effect.
4. Tea
When I say tea, I don’t mean the Naija version of
the word. I mean black or green or herbal teas.
They are great for banishing mouth odour. Simply
drinking green tea 3 times a day can cure your bad
breath.
