Bruce Says He Is Not In The Senate To Make Money

·
·
When the senator representing Bayelsa East Senatorial District, Ben Murray Bruce, revealed why he does not give a hoot about making money in the Senate, little did he know he was going to get the attention of some of his followers who would negate him.

The senator took to his twitter page not long ago to disabuse the minds of everyone who cares to know by saying: ”People who think I’m in the Senate to make money amuse me. Every month, I pay over 1000 people above minimum wage. God blessed my hard work!”

While some hailed him for not following others in the house, the senator’s tweet obviously didn’t go well with some of his followers. One of them even claimed the senator stole money from Nigerian Television Authority money as a director general. The twitter user telling the senator to shut up, claimed he was able to steal the money with the help of late Stella Obasanjo, a former first lady, who was the senator’s girlfriend as at the time. Read reactions to his tweet below:

Meanwhile, the senator recently faulted the calls by some state governors to reduce the minimum wage of N18,000 downward. He advised state governors against contemplating with the move which according to him is unjustifiable.
